Read more >In its almost seven hundred years of existence, the University of Pisa has gradually amassed a vast and varied historical, scientific and artistic heritage for teaching and study purposes. The Sistema Museale di Ateneo (SMA) with its nine city museums and the Natural History Museum in Calci, an autonomous university centre located in the Certosa di Calci, have the task of enhancing, preserving and increasing this heritage, taking care of its layout and spreading its knowledge.
