Three SMA museums in the PisaCard
4 September 2026
A single digital pass to explore Pisa’s historical and artistic heritage
The Pisa Card is now available: the new digital pass designed to make visiting the city’s museums and historical sites simpler and more convenient. Through a single online process, residents and tourists can purchase the card, receive a QR code and plan their own itinerary amongst the participating sites.
The scheme includes three of the museums in the Museum Network: the Egyptological Collections “Edda Bresciani”, the Museum of Graphic Arts and the Botanical Garden and Museum. The card also includes access to the National Museum of San Matteo, the Certosa di Calci Monumental Complex, the Museum of Ancient Ships, the Walls of Pisa, the National Museum of Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Blu.
For tourists, the Pisa Card is valid for seven days from the date selected at the time of purchase. The pass can be purchased for individual visitors, families and groups of up to sixty people in a single transaction. Once payment is complete, the QR code is sent by email and can be shown at the entrance either digitally or in printed form.
The Pisa Card is electronic; it can be purchased online at pisacard.pisamo.it/en and is validated at the entrance to the attractions via the QR code. The offer also includes one hour’s free use of Ciclopi bicycles, which can be paused during stops for visits.
The service is complemented by the free Pisa Card app, available on the App Store and Google Play. The app allows you to purchase a card online, retrieve a card that has already been issued using an order code and email address, save the QR code to your device, check the card’s validity and number of entries, view the museums included, and quickly access support. The saved QR code remains accessible even if you are temporarily offline; the system verifies the card’s validity upon entry
For groups, the system also supports staggered entry: museum staff can record the number of participants who have entered and the remaining entries available on the same card, offering greater flexibility in managing visits.
The project was launched with the aim of bringing together a variety of experiences and offering a simple, digital and recognisable tool designed to enhance the visitor experience and highlight Pisa’s historical and artistic heritage.
The service is managed by PisaMo Srl. Information, included attractions, terms and conditions, and access to the booking platform are available on the official website pisacard.pisamo.it/en.
